A jet carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a public statement.
